Semena tohoto druhu jsem vyséval v září 2010. Rostlina kvete poprvé. Poupata se začala vyvíjet v polovině února. Květy nejsou stále zcela otevřené. Zkusil jsem pelargonii přenést ze skleníku do teplé místnosti a umístil pod zářivky, ale okvětní lístky zůstávají stále přivřené. Na listech je již vidět, jak se rostlina připravuje na suché léto. V tomto období přetrvávají listy na rostlině v seschlém stavu až do vyrašení listů nových, což nastává s přicházejícími dešti nebo první zálivkou na přelomu září a října.
I have sown seeds of this species in September 2010. The plant blooms for the first time. Buds began to develop in mid-February. The flowers are still not fully open. I tried to move the plant from the greenhouse into a warm room and placed under fluorescent lights, but the petals are still narrowed. It´s already visible on leaves as the plant prepares for dry summer. The withered leaves will remain on the plant until new leaves emerge, which occurs with incoming rain or the first watering in late September and early October.
